Hello, welcome to Issue 4 of iON, the last paper edition of iON Oxford Tube - so grab a copy now, as it will make a wonderful piece of coach/bus memorabilia!

In this issue we have old favourites such as David Levy’s regular robots column, William Hartston, the famous Beachcomber from the Daily Express, Mivlos, the Ramblings of a Technophile, and a terrific social history of the last 70 years of the Oxford Playhouse. Plus there are book, theatre and film reviews, a fascinating account of the early Hugh Hefner, and some great contributions from Oxford Tube travelers: Victorian Boho by Jen Loewi and Anatole Sloan’s visually spectacular photojournalism on Lewknor.

We also have the winners of the Local Talent competition and the winning review by Oxford Tube and the Oxford Literary Festival’s Child Book reviewer, Rachel Brown.

Readers will, in this issue, have the chance to win membership of Oxford’s one-and-only Corner Club. The magazine comes with some great reader offers, including National Gallery and Oxford Playhouse deals.

Oxford Tube would like to thank the terrific team who have made this publication possible: ColdPress Publishing, Nathan Shelton for his bespoke graphic design work, Bethanie Cunnick for her lovely illustrations and all the writers who have given up their time to make the magazine the success it is. Mention should also be made of Ben Hennessy, who has designed the online version of iON Oxford Tube.

Thank you again for your loyal readership and we hope you continue to enjoy all your journeys with Oxford Tube.
